On Christmas Eve Austrian families gather together to share a meal and sing Christmas carols. Children receive their gifts, also, on Christmas Eve. Austria’s official language is German, although a handful of schools teach Hungarian and Croatian. People love the outdoors and because of that children learn to ski at a young age. Austrians love good like breaded veal, kolastche (a pastry), gulash (a stew), fried chicken and dumplings. |
